Around 1910, his son Jos\u00e9 Morant Sirvent (who would give his name to the brand and register it) continued his father’s journey: he made turrones and sweets with his family in Jijona and, during the following years, developed the activity of selling them in various places in Tortosa (on the ascent of the State bridge, in the porches of the Plaza del \u00c1ngel, in the portal of the house of Doctor Sabat\u00e9) until it was consolidated in the portal of number 2 of Cervantes Street, around 1940.
In 1958, his son, Jos\u00e9 Morant Vidal, accompanied him until 1970. From here and during the following years, he continued to come to Tortosa, no longer with his father but with his wife, Amalia Ramos, and his son, Jos\u00e9 Luis Morant Ramos, without interruption until 1999, when he married Maribel Miralles and they took over the business. From this union, his son Jordi Morant Miralles would be born.<\/span>They moved to the premises immediately adjacent to the portal, fixed up a small shop, and also began the summer work of making horchatas (tiger nut and almond), slushies, and ice cream with unprecedented success to this day thanks to Maribel Miralles’ knowledge of them.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

It was the year 1883 when Vicente Morant decided to go to Tortosa to sell for a few days, around Christmas, the homemade products he made in his town of Jijona.Those delicacies were the famous Jijona turr\u00f3n (or soft), Alicante turr\u00f3n (or hard), snow turr\u00f3n (or marzipan), egg yolk turr\u00f3n (or cream), pasteles de gloria (which taste like… its name says it all), panes de C\u00e1diz, sugar-coated pine nut dragees, sugared almonds (with almonds), his famous garrapi\u00f1adas (toasted almond, sugar and cinnamon) and the no less famous bovets de massap\u00e0.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
